This booklet contains 121 pages in colour and 121 pages in black and white.

This booklet is a comprehensive mathematics resource designed specifically for neurodiverse learners. The aim of the booklet is to help children develop early mathematics skills through clear, structured and visual activities.

The activities focus on foundational mathematical concepts such as number recognition, counting, basic operations, shapes, patterns and problem-solving. The structured layout and visual tasks make learning mathematics easier and more engaging for young learners.

Sections / Themes included in the booklet:

The booklet contains a wide range of mathematics activities that gradually build early numeracy skills.

1. Tracing numbers and number names

Children practise writing numbers and number words by tracing them.

Activities include:

• tracing numbers
• tracing number names such as zero, one, two, three, four, five and more
• practising writing numbers on lines.

These activities help learners develop number recognition and handwriting skills.

2. Colouring numbers

Children colour large number shapes from 0 to 10 to reinforce number recognition.

3. Matching numbers

Learners match numbers to pictures that show the correct quantity.

Examples include:

• counting objects such as fruit or food
• cutting and pasting the correct number next to the picture.

4. Counting activities

Children practise counting objects and identifying the correct number.

Examples include counting:

• apples
• oranges
• pears
• animals
• vegetables.

5. Writing numbers and number names

Learners count pictures and then:

• write the correct number
• write the number name on writing lines.

6. Measurement and comparison

Children learn to compare objects using concepts such as:

• more and less
• big and small
• tall and short.

7. Number recognition games

The booklet includes activities where learners must find and colour specific numbers, helping strengthen number recognition.

8. Number order and missing numbers

Children practise:

• placing numbers in the correct order
• filling in missing numbers in number sequences.

9. Addition

Learners practise simple addition using pictures and counting.

Children practise simple subtraction by crossing out objects and counting how many remain.
